The drive along Auckland waterfront via tamaki drive which is studded with several significant scenic landmarks presented here from west to east, Mt Eden domain ,
One Tree Hill , via Titirangi Village , Arataki Visitor Centre and Piha beach.

Departure & Return

Departure Details

  • Departures from all the hotels in inner city of Auckland City
  • Departure time for day trips ( varies from 9am to 10am)
  •  Hotel pickups commence approximately 45-60minutes prior to this time.
  • Exact pick up time will be advised on reconfirmation.

Return Details

  • Tour ends at the sky tower with an option of dropping back to hotels in inner-city Auckland.

Okahu Bay Reserve

The Name ‘Okahu bay’ comes from a Moari name meaning “the dwelling place of Kahumatamomoe” it was the site of a home village, until the habitants were relocated by the Auckland council in the 1950’s. The reserve at Okahu Bay is a popular location for Aucklanders to relax and enjoy the warerfront. There is a Royal Akarana  Yacht Club that is also located in the west corner of the bay.

Kelly Tarlton’s Sea life Aquarium

In 1985 Kelly Tarlton establised in Auckland.The aquarium holds around 2000 fish from some 40 species ,including  Stringrays and Sharks most of which can be observed while walking through under water tunnel.

Mission Bay Reserve

This is the open green space between Tamaki drive and Mission Bay. It is called Selwyn reserve after the first Anglican anglican bishop of New Zealand.
It is Very popular for Restaurants,Bars & Cafes.

Kohimarama Beach

Kohimara Beach Is the longest beach along tamaki drive and is mainly used for swimming .it is located east of the kohimarama Yatch club and many boat races are held there.There are boat ramps ,bicycle stands and toilets present as services for visitors and locals.

St.Heliers Bay and Beach reserve

This reserve is one of Aucklands premium waterfront destination.The bay is popular for swimming and has a boat ramp making it a busy location on sunny days.
St.heliers was named by Major Walmsley in the late 1870’s who owned Auckland’s first Stud farm at Glen orchard.

Mt.Eden Domain

To enjoy panoramic views of the city and both harbours .
The Cone is a dormant Volcano and its summit , at 196 metres above sea level is the highest natural point on the Auckland Isthmus.The magnetic bowl like Crater is 50metres  deep.

One Tree Hill

Is a 182 metres Volcanic peak .It is an important memorial place for both Maori and other New Zealanders.The hill’s scoria cones erupted from three craters of which one is intact and two have been breached by lava flows that rafted away part of the side if scoria cone.One tree hill domain  is 118 acres park.

The Arataki Visitor Centre

Located in Waitakere ranges which provides a historical backround of the area.

Piha Beach

Piha is a coastal settlement on the western coast of the Auckland  region. Is a well known for Black sand beach due to high iron content which is of volcanic origin.
guareded by the impressing Lion rock.
Lion Rock is a natural formation dividing north and south piha beaches.
Piha was a birth place of New Zealand board riding in 1958 and has been scene  of both national and international Surfing Championship Competitions.
